Professional DryCleaning
Eco-friendly cleaning that protects fine fabrics and brings garments back to life.
For more than 27 years, we have cared for the garments that matter most: the suits worn to closings, the dresses worn to first dances, the everyday workwear that has to look right tomorrow.
We dry clean on-site using a state-of-the-art hydrocarbon system that is gentler on fabric than the perchloroethylene used by most cleaners, and far better for the environment. Almost every garment we touch is cleaned, finished, and inspected under our own roof.
How dry cleaning is done here.
Every dry cleaning order at New England Dry Cleaners follows the same 5-stage process: survey, pre-treat, clean, finish, and final inspection. Almost all stages happen on-site at 20 Elm Street, North Attleboro. Same-day available Monday through Friday when dropped off by 10:00 AM.
- 01
Survey
Every garment is tagged and inspected for stains, missing buttons, weak seams, and trim. Anything unusual is noted before it enters the cycle.
- 02
Pre-treat
Visible stains are pre-treated by hand. Different stains demand different chemistry; coffee, oil, ink, and red wine each get a different approach.
- 03
Clean
Garments cycle through our hydrocarbon system, which is gentler than traditional perc and easier on delicate fibers.
- 04
Finish
Pressing and steam finishing restore drape and edge. Pleats, lapels, and creases are returned to their original lines.
- 05
Inspect & bag
A second set of eyes checks every garment before it goes on the conveyor, and again before it reaches your hands.
Why hydrocarbon dry cleaning matters
Most American dry cleaners still use perchloroethylene (“perc”), a petroleum-derived solvent that is effective, but harsh on delicate fibers and increasingly regulated for environmental reasons.
We chose hydrocarbon. It is organic, biodegrades cleanly, and is gentle enough for silk, cashmere, and beaded garments that perc can damage. You will notice the difference: a softer hand-feel and longer life from your favorite pieces.
What we don't cut corners on
Almost every garment is cleaned, pressed, and finished on-site. That means quality stays in our hands and turnaround stays fast. The exceptions are leather, suede, tailoring, wash-and-fold laundry, and area rugs, which we send out to trusted specialty partners.
Every order is inspected twice: once after cleaning, once before bagging. If a stain didn't come out, we tell you. If a button popped off, we replace it. If something needs a second pass, we run it again before you see it.
What customers ask about this service.
Drop off by 10:00 AM Monday through Friday and your order will be ready by 4:00 PM the same day, at no extra charge. Larger orders or specialty work (gowns, leather, complex repairs) take longer; we will give you an exact ready time when you drop off.
